A significant income tax increase will be part of health insurance reform.
Wed Dec 16, 2009
I agree that there needs to be a change to the current healthcare system. There's more to this issue then paying for healthcare coverage for those who do not have it.
Income gap widens as poor take hit in recession
Tue Sep 29, 2009
NiteOwlett, we do not qualify for Prop 13... We purchased our house 10 years ago, and pay a little over $5k in property taxes annually for a 1200sf house on a 9500sf lot. I would say that the taxes are high here in CA. Not to mention, the tax in our county was raised to over 9%.

Mon Aug 3, 2009
This "Cash for Clunkers" is another bailout for the auto industry. Will any auto company that benefits from this be reimbursing the government with interest? Or will the tax payers be footing this bill, too. Hey, I need my house remodeled...
‘The Cove’ will change how you look at dolphins
Tue Jul 28, 2009
I've known about this slaughter for years and have been disappointed that the U.S. hasn't addressed this. It's very difficult and disturbing to watch these beautiful animals be killed in such a horrific way. Dolphins are very trusting and are easily lured to their death.

Wed Jul 29, 2009
I think healthcare reform is a good idea, but I think that we need to stabilize the economy first and foremost.
